Chlorinators
Based on the ECOLCELL technology of Azienda Chimica Genovese s.r.l. (ACG) of Genoa, Italy. ACG has over 45 years’ experience with this technology in both naval and merchant marine applications worldwide. HLI brings its design and manufacturing experience to ruggedizing ACG’s commercial equipment to meet the U. S. Navy’s demanding requirements, as expressed in BIW specification FY02-256-01B for the DDG-51 class.

Model 8600 Mk II Perm-A-Chlor PECG
$0.00Provides point-of-use protection against bio-fouling in marine equipment. Easily set up in a machinery space near a seawater intake. Typical applications include heat exchangers, ship seawater systems, engine cooling systems, and electronic component skids. Portable and ideal for temporary maintenance applications, but also designed for continuous operation in permanent installations.
- Small lightweight footprint for multiple applications (i.e. small vessels, equipment skids).
- Treats up to 700,000 gal (2,700 m3) of seawater per day to 1 ppm
- Flanged fittings for more secure mounting – deck or bulkhead.
- Electrolytic cell is designed to be self-cleaning.
- Connects to PLC for shipboard automation.

Model 8850 Mk II Dockside Seawater Chlorinator
$0.00Provides point-of-use protection against bio-fouling in dockside applications at construction and overhaul facilities. Biocide is particularly important in modern piping systems that employ high-strength, light-weight alloys such as titanium rather than conventional copper-nickels.
Free-standing and easily installed near a seawater intake. Requires only seawater and electricity to operate.
- Treats submarine main and auxiliary seawater systems while in port.
- Free-standing dockside.
- Treats up to 2,870,000 gallons (10,900 m3) of seawater per day to 1 ppm.
- Electrolytic cell is self-cleaning.
