The Model 7440 is designed to provide clean, dry air for applications at air flows up to 400 scfm at 100 - 125 psig. Delivered dew point is typically 0°F at pressure, used for ship's service air applications. The 7440's state-of-the-art membrane technology uses no ozone-depleting substances, no complex refrigeration equipment, no chilled water, and no troublesome desiccant.
The first units were designed under NSWCCD-SSES contract #N65540-00-R-0077 for use with the RIX Industries MARC 350 low-pressure air compressor in the carrier fleet. That version includes transducers for inlet and outlet pressure and filter pressure drop, an orifice flowmeter, and a dew point sample port. Additional versions are available with:
