Membrane Air Dehydrator for Ship's Service Air

General Description:

The Model 7440 is designed to provide clean, dry air for applications at air flows up to 400 scfm at 100 - 125 psig. Delivered dew point is typically 0°F at pressure, used for ship's service air applications. The 7440's state-of-the-art membrane technology uses no ozone-depleting substances, no complex refrigeration equipment, no chilled water, and no troublesome desiccant.

The first units were designed under NSWCCD-SSES contract #N65540-00-R-0077 for use with the RIX Industries MARC 350 low-pressure air compressor in the carrier fleet. That version includes transducers for inlet and outlet pressure and filter pressure drop, an orifice flowmeter, and a dew point sample port. Additional versions are available with:

• Filter pressure drop and outlet pressure gauges.
• Full ICAS instrumentation, including 115-VAC and instrument-level power inputs.
• Other instrumentation as required for specific applications.

Specifications:

• Qualified to MIL-S-901D Grade A shock and MIL-STD-167-1 environmental vibration. Welding is per NAVSEA S9074-AR-GIB-010/278.
• Inlet Air: Up to 400 scfm at 80 - 135 psig.
  Temperature 50 - 125° F.
  Maximum dew point saturated at 125° F and 80 psig.
• Outlet Air: 80 - 125 psig.
  Dew point 0° F at line pressure (-40° F at atmospheric pressure), adjustable to your requirements.
• Purge Loss: Variable for your requirements; nominal 65 scfm for 300 scfm outlet flow at 125 psig and 0° F pressure dew point.
• Chilled Water: None required.
• Electrical: Basic unit has none.
• Dimensions: 58" W x 26" D x 40" H.
• Weight: 770 lb.
