Model 5642

Low-Pressure (80 - 150 psig) Air Control Panel

General Description:

The Model 5642 Low-Pressure Air Control Panel is designed to control the pressure and to monitor the flow rate of clean, dry compressed air to electronic equipment and components. A tap is provided for measurement of moisture content. The panel is designed for either automatic or manual operation.

Air pressure is regulated by two (or, for the Type III, one) pressure regulators. Flow rate of air being delivered to the using equipment is measured by a direct-reading float-in-tube flowmeter.

Configurations other than those shown here may be special-ordered.

Specifications:

• Manufactured in accordance with NAVSHIPS Standard Drawing 803-1385925 Rev. E.
• Bypass: A manual bypass valve is provided to allow continued operation in the event of malfunction of any of the automatic components.
• Relief Valve: Preset adjustable relief valve protects downstream equipment from overpressurization.
• Dimensions: 30" wide x 17" high x 9-1/2" deep.
• Weight: 70 lb (110 lb crated).
• Operation: Either automatic or manual, continuous or intermittent.
• Power Requirements: No electrical power required.
• Air Requirements: Clean, dry compressed air at 80 to 150 psig.
• Filter: Prevents introduction of any particulates larger than 25 microns.
• Calibration: External ports are provided for calibration of the dew point alarm system and of pressure gauges.

• Air Capacity: 200 scfm saturated air at 125° F, 80 psig.
• Pressure: Normally operates at 80 to 150 psig; designed at 150 psig and proofed at 225 psig.
